Another Murder in the CIty of Entertainment

justice has been denied. justice was hurried, worried, and delayed by the Mumbai court. These are a few excerpts that I could note down from the live discussion held yesterday on Neeraj Grover's murder on NDTV 24x7's show. Amongst all who were presented on the show were Barkha Dutt, the eminent news anchor, late. Neeraj Grover's parents, Neelam Katara (the mother of slain Nitish Katara, again a brutal murder story), Suhail Seth, Mahesh Bhatt, a panel of lawyers, and of course the audience.  For those who don't know what this is all about, it is about Neeraj Grover, a TV executive, who was murdered brutally by Maria Susairaj and her fiance Emile Jerome, a naval officer, in 2008. Adding to the brutality, the body was cut into 300 pieces, stuffed into bags, and then set on fire by both the culprits. Emile Jerome was sentenced 10 years in prison for committing the culpable homicide not amounting to murder and his accomplice Maria was sentenced only 3 years in prison for destroying the evidences.

There was rage amongst all of the people presented on the show (it's across the entire country) after Maria Susairaj was finally let off after serving just 3 years in the jail. What a punishment for a heinous crime? People like Maria are out there in this world to destroy and kill anything or anyone that they find is not entertaining anymore. Pity on the Mumbai court judges and on their judgement that let a criminal Scot free so that she can roam around and threaten and claim life of people like Neeraj Grover. Shame on Mumbai court judges and their judgement. Neeraj Grover's parents have decided to appeal in the Mumbai high court to challenge the old verdict and bring Maria Susairaj back behind the bars. All the luck to Neeraj Grover's parents. The country stands by you in the pain you are suffering from, so please don't feel alone.

PM Denies the Lame Duck Tag

It was day before yesterday when PM had decided to break his silence and face the media. NDTV India had held a live discussion in this regard on its show Left, Right, and Center on Wednesday. The members in the discussion panel were the chief editor of Times of India, Mr. Dilip Padgavkar, Congress leader, Mrs. Renuka Chaudhry, BJP spokesperson, Mr. Vikram Sehgal, and one Sardar ji (whose name i don't remember). Joining them in the discussion was Nidhi Rajdan, the famous news anchor of the NDTV India. The top 3 discussions on the show were PM Speaks Out, India's Nuke Worries after Pakistan threatens India to launch Nuclear attack, and Indian Women are More Stressed than men.

Before we begin, I want to tell you that I participated as audience in the discussion on the LRC show.
The discussion on PM's denial being a lame duck turned in to a heated argument between the Congress and BJP spokespersons. Even the audience did not favor Mr. PM and said that he has been irresponsible all throughout these days by not coming to face the media or people. Even I had my question ready, however I did not shoot it. I was little scared of the camera. Anyway, I want to say everything now that I did not say on the discussion is that what difference would it make to the current situations of anarchy in the country even if the PM breaks his silence? Does any one have an answer? Prices of the essentials (I mean groceries here), LPG, petrol, diesel, have been increased. No bill is passed, no discussion is staged, and the prices are increased overnight. However, it takes 6 months or a full year for an employee to earn his/her appraisal. Until he/she receives the appraisal, he has to offset the increased expenses in the same salary. Where is the personal growth? Can anybody answer this question? Does the govt. ever think from the point of view of an employee?

irony of the Indian cricket team

The Indian cricket team is being sent on the mission-Pakistan by the Sonia Gandhi-led UPA govt. under the goodwill gesture and to reopen the dialogue over 9/11 massacre. I always think what sonia gandhi is upto, thinking all the non-sense she can.

The Indian cricket team (even the Indian mass) is not at all feeling enthusiastic (except Yuvraj Singh who said it does not matter as his only job is to play and he will do it irrespective of the place and people) about its forthcoming Pakistan trip due to We-all-know-why. I fully support the Indian team and salute their spirit (except Yuvraj Singh). I am sure and think that Sonia Gandhi has no right to decide what the Indian cricket team should do and where should it go to play. The existing government in its awful political spirit is ruining the country and making it a worst game to play.

I only have to say that not just cricket, all the games should be kept separated from the dirty politics. Keep them safe and away from politics.
